KVS Librarian Posts Syllabus 2022-23  Overview

KVS Librarian Exam Pattern

The written test is of 180 marks (180 objective type multiple choice questions) carrying 01 mark for each question.
The duration of written test will be 180 minutes.

Part-I: Language Proficiency Test — 30 Marks

Part-II: General Awareness & Computer Literacy — 50 marks

Part Ill: Subject-specific Syllabus (100 Marks)

Part-I: Language Proficiency Test — 40 Marks

General English

• (Comprehension, One word—substitution synonyms and Antonyms, Spelling error, Spotting error in sentences Grammar- Noun, Pronoun, Adjective, Verb, Preposition, Conjunction, Use of ‘A’, ‘AN’ and THE’, Idioms and Phrases.)

General Hindi:

गद्यांश पर आधारित प्रश्न, तत्सम, तत्वब, पर्यावाची , विलोम, मुहावरे और लोकोक्तियाँ, शुध्द असुध्द, वाक्य, संदि विच्छेत, अलंकार, समास, वचन , लिंग , अनेकार्थी और वाक्य के लिए शब्द

Part-II: General Awareness & Computer Literacy — 50 marks

Logical Reasoning

• (Analogies-Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Similarities and difference, word building, relationship concepts, Arithmetic number series-Semantic Series, Number Series, Coding and decoding- Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification)

Computer Literacy

• (Characteristics of Computers, Computer Organization including RAM, ROM, File System, Input Devices, Computer Software-Relationship between Hardware and Software, Operating System, MS-Office (exposure of Word, Excel/spread sheet, Power point), Information Technology and Society-Indian IT Act, Digital Signatures, Application of information technology in Government for E-Governance, mobile/Smartphone’s, information Kiosks)

General Knowledge:

• (Indian History, Indian Geography, Indian Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Polity & Constitution, Scientific Research, awards, Sports, Current India & World)

KVS Librarian Professional Competency Test:

Professional Competency Test:
The Professional Competency Test is of 60 marks (Demo Teaching -30 marks and Interview -30 Marks ).

The weightage of Written Test and Professional Competency (Demo Teaching & Interview) will be in the ratio of 70:30. Final merit list will be based on the performance of the candidate in Written Test & Professional Competency Test taken together.
